With the INCONTOURNABLES : A space beyond time at over 100 metres underground
Discovered on the sandstone plateau of the Causse Méjéan on 17th September 1897 by Louis ARMAND, this wonderful site opened its doors to the public in 1927. After taking a funicular to descend to over 100 metres underground to visit one of the most beautiful caves of France.
With the INCONTOURNABLES, our guides will share their passion and help you admire, thanks to a luminous set up with changing colours, the primeval forest and its 400 stalagmites are unique worldwide. You will never forget the Palm Tree, the Turkey, the Draperies, the Medusa, the Cauliflower, the Jaw of the Tiger …. And of course the highest stalagmite known in the world which at the top of its 30 metres shines and sparkles like a diamand. A unique fairy-like space, and which by its size could house the cathedral of Notre Dame of Paris.
